Quotes from a few clients... ‘’I have begun running a profile and the equipment works great. The packaging , traveling case and presentation of the unit is impressive. Great Job.’’ Troy, Sonaca ‘’We are pleased to inform you that we are very happy to use your FPK-A103 Deluxe kit that we ordered last year and we are planning to enlarge our scope by buying 90 degree Air Grinder (FGR-090)’’. Hasan, Turkish Air Lines ‘’The RPM control equipment control helps us meet the requirement of maintaining the RPM’’. James, US Army ‘’... (The FlapSpeed™ Controller) not only takes a lot of operator variability out of the process, but also allows their supervisors to sleep better at night.’’ John, Nadcap Auditor Why should I choose the FlapSpeed™ Controller for Flapper Peening? Flapper peening is a great process to re-peen small areas of a component after removal of a scratch or surface damage. Flapper peening is fast, easy and cost effective. Presentation on Flapper Peening using the FlapSpeed™ Controller Should I choose the Air or the Electric FlapSpeed™ Controller ? The FlapSpeed™ Controller - Air uses compressed air to drive either a straight or a 90 degree die grinder equipped with a special speed sensor, buzzer and on/off switch. The air model comes with a 25ft hose and is best suited for work on large parts or directly on the aircraft where the controller might be left on the ground. The die grinders used with the air controller are slightly larger than the hand piece of the electric controller. However, the straight grinder can be easily adapted to work with the largest mandrel (FPM-0200) and flap (FLAP-200) to obtain intensities in the C Almen scale. Furthermore, the air model can be used almost anywhere in the world with its wide range of electrical inputs (110-240v, 50-60 Hz). The FlapSpeed™ Controller - Electric is best suited for the peening of smaller parts that can be installed close to the controller. The motor for the electric model has a 62 inch shaft and a small hand piece. For the electric model, the electrical input can be either 120V, 60 Hz or 220V, 50Hz. The selection must be made before the assembly and cannot be changed afterwards. Should I choose just the Controller or the Complete kit ? Companies already doing flapper peening, will often purchase the FlapSpeed™ Controller alone since they already have the magnetic strip holder, the mandrel, flaps and strips. Companies that are starting with flapper peening or that are expanding their operation in a new building or site will want to purchase the complete kit which includes most of the necessary accessories. All that is missing is the Almen Digital Gauge (FPG-1000) to measure Almen strip deflection. Because of its cost, it is priced separately from the kit. What are the specifications of the controllers?
